Independent certifications hold us to clearly defined benchmarks for what natural, vegan, and responsible really mean, so you don’t just have to take our word for it.

COSMOS Natural Certified

Certified to the Gold Standard of Natural

Our UK manufactured products are certified by the Soil Association, COSMOS Natural; meaning we use only ingredients approved to the rigorous, third-party standard of COSMOS.

The COSMOS Standard ensures that the ingredients have been independently identified as not posing a possible risk to human or environmental health, and have been resourced responsibly, and respecting the environment. The COSMOS Standard not only applies to the ingredients but has criteria which the packaging, manufacturing & waste practices must also comply with, such as traceability through all processes of product manufacture and only the use of plant-based cleaning products. The certification process includes an annual audit visit of our site by the Soil Association, which inspects all aspects covered by the COSMOS Standard.

Vegan Society Approved

No Animal-Derived Ingredients

Because “vegan-friendly” should mean more than just good intentions, all of Salt of the Earth’s product formulations are certified by The Vegan Society. That means every ingredient and process is thoroughly checked to meet their strict vegan standards—no animal-derived ingredients, no animal testing, and no compromises.

Cruelty Free International - Leaping Bunny Approved

Salt of the Earth believes that beauty products should be cruelty free. We are proud to be Leaping Bunny approved. A global programme, Leaping Bunny requires cruelty free standards over and above legal requirements.

All of our own brand personal care products are approved under the Cruelty Free International Leaping Bunny programme, the internationally recognisable gold standard for cruelty free products. We adhere to a fixed cut off date policy and proactively monitor our suppliers to ensure that our products continue to adhere to Leaping Bunny Criteria. Our supplier monitoring system is also independently audited.
